Rexy and Ella have been together for seven years. They knew that they would get married for years, but then the pandemic derailed their plans of having a simple wedding. Can you tell us a little bit about how you first heard about Courtly and why you decided to use our platform for your wedding?

I first heard about Courtly from a friend who recently got married using the platform. At first, my husband Rexy and I were planning for a simple and low-fuss wedding and thought that the courthouse was the best way to go. But then my friend told me about Courtly and how it allowed her to include her loved ones from all over the country in her special day. At first, some of our friends and family were surprised that remote weddings like ours were possible and legal. They were able to attend and participate in the ceremony, and it was such a fun experience to share this special moment with them despite being continents away. Our loved ones were able to join us via Zoom and it felt like they were right there with us, we were able to see them, hear them and even chat with them before and after the ceremony. Overall, our friends and family were very supportive of our decision to have a virtual wedding and they were happy to be a part of it. We're grateful to have Courtly that made it all happen.

Can you tell us about your wedding day? Was it what you had envisioned and was it special to you?

Our wedding day was exactly as we had envisioned, if not better. The ceremony was intimate, low-fuss, and was held in the comfort of our own home. The officiant that Courtly provided was kind and professional, and made the ceremony special for us. The whole experience was so memorable, and we are so happy to have found Courtly. It made it possible for us to have the wedding we wanted, and we were able to share the special moment with all of our loved ones. It was the perfect day, and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Courtly made our dream wedding come true, and we will always be grateful for that.
